On the 24th of June 2016 Mike fought and beat URCC veteran and former cruiser weight title contender Frankly Navarro at UGB 15 Foreign Invasion 2 . Navarro was the more experienced fighter and although not looking in the best condition we took the threat very seriously. Navarro was a season veteran in Muay Thai and the game plan was always to take the fight to the ground.

At the opening of the first round Navarro charged across the ring and swung at Mike. Mike managed to duck under and immediately secure the takedown. It was then just a matter of moments before he secured the arm triangle and finished the fight
